The real trek to ABC (Annapurna Base Camp) starts from Nayapul. We fly to Pokhara and then drive for 1 hour 30 minutes towards Nayapul. Ghandruk is mother of nature and you will reach Ghandruk after 3-4 hours of trek from Nayapul. The beauty of Ghandruk excites you to trek higher elevation. The bamboo forest, Deurali village on the trail are wonderful. You will reach Annapurna Base Camp after 5 hours of walk from Bamboo lodge.

You can clearly witness the Annapurna South, Mt. Fishtail, Gangapurna Annapurna I, and Annapurna III from the Base Camp. We trek back to Bamboo from Annapurna Base Camp. The hot spring of Jhinu Danda is fabulous. As soon as you reach Jhinu Hot Spring, it’s sure that the number of captures on your device is increasing.

ABC Trek Itinerary 

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu and overnight stay at Hotel

Our staff will welcome you on Kathmandu Internatinal Airport. They will have Adventure Discovery Travels Signboard so that you feel easy finding them. You will be taken to hotel, roaming and discussion about the trek in the evening time.

Day 02: 7 hours of drive to Pokhara (900m) in a Tourist bus.

On the second day of the trek, you will have your early breakfast and 7 hours drive to Pokhara. You will have meal in the roadside hotel on your time. You may get bored in this time but the cool air and outstanding scenario adds beauty to the drive. Evening stay at Lakeside hotel, roaming around the lakeside makes your whole day charming.

Day 03: Drive to Nayapul (1,010 m) and Trek to Tikhedhunga (1,570 m)- 4 hours

The final Annapurna Base Camp trekking begins on the third day. A half an hour drive from Pokhara will reach you to Nayapul. We reach Birethanti after 15 minutes walk from Nayapul. Then, the trek passes through village, and the trail follows north side of Bhurungdi Khola. Then, the ascending begins. After a short climb to the valley of Hille, you reach Tikhedhunga at 1,570 m. tonight stay at Lodge at Tikhedhunga.

Day 04: Trek to Ghorepani – 5 hours

Early in the morning, we steep towards Ulleri which is a large Magar village in the area lying at an elevation of 2,070 m. after a short trek to Nangethanti and an hour walking, we reach Ghorepani (2,840m).

Day 05: Hiking up to Poon hill and Trek to Tadapani – 7 hours

The fifth day of the Annapurna Base Camp Trek is exciting, full of adventures and enthusiasm. You will hike for an hour towards poon hill which is one of the famous hill of the area. we return back to Ghorepani spending another one hour. Climbing along the ridges through pine and rhododendron forest, we reach Deurali. Descending from there, we reach Banthanti and finally a short hike from Banthanti, we reach todays destination place: Tadapani.

Day 06: Trek to Chomrong – 5 hours

Today, you find more descending than ascending. Hiking along the Rhododendron forest is lovely. After a short trek, you reach Gurjung village which is a famous Gurung village of the area. The route to Chomrong is easy from the village. Today, overnight at tea house at Chomrong (2,140m).

Day 07: Chomrong Trekking to Dovan – 6 hours

You will be descending through a stone staircase and crosses the suspension bridge. You will trek towards rhododendron, bamboo, and oak forest. After an hour of walk from Kuldi (2,470 m), you reach Dovan. Tonight stay and enjoy at Dovan.

Day 08: Trek from Dovan to Deurali

After morning breakfast, we trek through dense rhododendron forest, passes Modi Khola. After few minutes of hike, we reach Deurali. Overnight stay at hotel in Deurali.

Day 09: Trek to Annapurna Base Camp from Deurali

Today is the most exciting and enthusiastic day of the trek. You will be trekking towards two highest peaks of the world namely Mt. Fishtail and Mt. Annapurna. During the Annapurna Base Camp trekking hours, the ups and downs along the high hills, forest areas are marvelous. We hike towards Machhapuchhre Base Camp which is not actually base camp because there’s no permit to stay there. Just after 2 hours of trekking from here, you will reach Annapurna Base Camp. The area is called Annapurna Sanctuary (4,130 m). Tonight stay at Tea house at Annapurna Base Camp.

Day 10: Trek to Bamboo from Annapurna Base Camp – 6 hours

The trail drops down today. You’ll be descending 1,700 m towards the bank of Modi Khola. After a short walk, you reach Bamboo where you can find some tea houses to stay. Tonight, we stay at Bamboo.

Day 11: Trek to Jhinu from Bamboo – 5 hours
We follow the same trekking route of Chomrong. On the trail, you can explore sheep farms, bamboo and rhododendron forest. The trail is descending from Chomrong to Jhinu but it’s sure that you will enjoy the trek.

Day 12: Trek to Nayapul (1,010m), drive to Pokhara. Overnight stay at Pokhara

You will be walking right side of Modi Khola. Today, the trekking hours is 4.5 hours and very easy because of less ups and downs. After reaching Nayapul, we drive for an hour to Pokhara. Then, we rest for a while. In the evening time, roaming around the lakeside, Phewa Lake is lovely.

Day 13: Drive to Kathmandu International Airport. Final Day at Kathmandu.

Here comes the ending day of the Annapurna Base Camp trek. Early in the morning, we drive to Kathmandu. The day is considered as a boring day because you may get bored and tired just sitting on the bus. But the window view of nature, small villages brings smile during the drive.

Day 14: Departure day

It’s your final day at Kathmandu. Our team member will take you to Airport for the flight to your hometown. You can inform us if you like to extend the travel around other places in Nepal.

How do you manage me when I land on Tribhuwan International Airport?

We send our staff to greet and welcome you to Nepal. The staff will have Adventure Discovery Travels signboard. As soon as you meet our staff, they will take you to standard hotel at Thamel.

Can you clarify me about the food during the Annapurna Base Camp Trek?

National food- Daal Bhat is available everywhere during the trek. Other items like Burger, Pizza, snacks, Mo:Mo, Chowmein are also available. There’re plenty of restaurants providing standard food services around Kathmandu area. Thus, you get quality food during the Annapurna Base Camp Trek.

Can I use Credit card throughout the trek?

Generally, you can use Credit Card in Kathmandu and Pokhara area. But other places don’t have this service available. It’s best if you exchange money on the arrival at Kathmandu.

What’s the Best season for Annapurna Base Camp Trekking?

Mid September to May is the best time for the trek. To be fact, more travelers trek during September to November because the months are favorable for trekking to Annapurna Base Camp. However, other months: February, March, April, May June, July are also suitable for the trek and it’s found that many travelers trek in these months because the crowds will be less along the trail.
