In 1953, Edmund Hillary and Tensing Norgay successfully climbed Mt. Everest. They made a work out for routes and traced the trail and then onward the craze of people climbing Mt. Everest started. Many Local Sherpa including foreigners started to climb Mt. Everest. The tourism board of Nepal studied about the routes and opened a trekking destination for trekkers. Everest Base Camp Luxury trek begins with a breathtaking flight from Kathmandu to Lukla Airport. The trail goes along the bank of Dudhkoshi and reach Namche Bazaar which is also called as the heart of the Everest region. Every food items, and trading are carried out at Namche bazaar. Having different acclimatization days, trek to Tengboche, Dingboche, Lobuche, Gorekshep and finally reach Everest Base Camp. Returning back has a bit different route. We trek to Pheriche, Lukla and fly back to Kathmandu.

Day 01: Arrive at Kathmandu International Airport, pick up and transfer to Hotel at Thamel
Day 02: Sightseeing at Kathmandu, overnight stay at Thamel hotel
Day 03: Morning flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. Same day, trek to Phakding (2,640m)

Detailed Itinerary for luxury Everest Base Camp Trek

Day 01: Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport(TIA) Kathmandu, pick up and transfer to Hotel.

Our representative will be waiting you at TIA holding our company sign board so that you can easily recognize them. You’ll be taken directly to hotel at Thamel. Evening time, roaming around Thamel area.

Day 02: Sightseeing at Kathmandu, overnight stay at Thamel hotel

Wake up early in the morning, have breakfast and rush for the sightseeing, cultural tour around Kathmandu valley. Swoyambhunath, Pashupatinath, Basantapur Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square are some of the places for excurtion. You’ll get detailed knowledge about Napal’s art, culture and tradition from your guide.

Day 03: Morning flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. Same day, trek to Phakding (2,640m)

The real trekking starts from the 3rd day. After having breakfast, we fly for around 40-minute scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. The weather, crystal clear skies, and beautiful Kathmandu valley make your flight mesmerizing. After reaching Lukla, we hike along the bank of Dudh Koshi river. Along the trail, you can observe views of Mt. Nupla, and Kusum Kangaroo. After 2 hours of walk, we reach Phakding where we stay for the night.

Day 04: Phakding trekking to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m)

After having delicious breakfast at a standard hotel of Phakding, we begin trekking along the Dudh Koshi river, suspension bridges, and rhododendron forest. Few hours of walking will lead you to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m). The Bazaar is famous for tea houses, trading, monasteries, and mountain ranges. Overnight stay at Namche Bazaar.

Day 05: Excursion and Acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar

Namche Bazaar is an ideal place for excursion and acclimatization. The monasteries, mountain ranges, beautiful scenario of tea houses, lodges, houses make your day. This day we walk to Khumjung village through Everest View hotel where you can observe the glorious landscape of Mt. Everest. Tonight singing, dancing at Namche.

Day 06: Tengboche trek from Namche Bazaar (3,867 m)

Start your day with a smile, early in the morning, we trek towards Tengboche. On the trail, you can witness Mt. Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam. The path is ascending with numbers of up hills. Reaching Tengboche monastery signifies the ending of today’s trek. The sculpture of monuments, statues in the monastery blow your mind. Tonight stay at Tengboche standard hotel.

Day 07: Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4,260 m)

Early in the morning walking along the rhododendron forest makes the whole day shining. The suspension bridge over the Imja khola nearby the Pangbuche village on the trail is adventurous. The trail continues along the route towards Dingboche village.

Day 08: Rest day at Dingboche, excursion and acclimatization day

The 8th day is remarkable with outstanding views of Mt. Ama Dablam, Lhotse and Nuptse. Day trip around the village, forest areas is possible. The glorious view of Island peak makes your day. Evening time, dancing, singing, and refreshment in the tea house.

Day 09: Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4,910 m)

After a rest day, we’re fully prepared to trek higher elevation. The trail enters the gigantic mountain peaks along the glacier path. You can witness landscapes of northern Ama Dablam, North Pokalde, and Kongma-Tse. Passing Dungla, the memorial monastery in the dedication of trekkers and climbers appear. After a few hours of trek, you reach Lobuche where you can observe Mt. Lobuche, Mt. Pumori and Mt. Nuptse.

Day 11: Trek to Gorakshep (5,153 m) and to Everest Base Camp (5,363 m)

The most important day of the trek, starting the day with breakfast, we slowly hike towards Gorakshep and then to the Everest Base Camp. The trail is relatively easier up to Gorakshep but from Gorakshep to EBC, you face the most difficult trail of the whole trek. Reaching Gorakshep, we start searching for the tea house. Keep our equipment there, and trek ahead. On the trail, you can explore Khumbu glacier and icefall. Get ready to capture the glorious landscape of Mt. Everest and the climbers. Return back to the Gorakshep and evening will be resting at Tea house.

Day 12: Trek from Gorakshep to Kalapather (5,545 m)

We hike toward the highest elevation of the trail. Everest Base Camp luxury trek takes you to the Kalapather hill where you can witness Mt. Everest in front of your eyes. The hill also offers the beautiful sunrise view along with views of other mountain ranges. Congratulation, your dream to see Mt. Everest is successful. we hike back to Gorakshep. Before going upward, your mind was empty but after returning back, you’ll have long-lasting memories of Mt. Everest.

Day 13: Fly Back to Kathmandu by Helicopter

The helicopter lands at Gorakshep. you will be having breakfast at Gorakshep and then fly back to Kathmandu. The flight offers scenic landscapes of Namche Bazaar, Lukla Airport, and Kathmandu valley.
